WhatsApp Ban Appeal UAE: Local Triggers & Templates

UAE-region WhatsApp bans usually combine modded clients, expat recruiter spam, and session anomalies from dual-residency exit-IP switching. Local context belongs in the appeal.

Local triggers

 • Modded WhatsApp clients shared on Arabic forums and recruiter groups.
 • Recruiter spam from massive WhatsApp groups for blue-collar workers.
 • Mass forwarding during Ramadan and National Day.
 • Dual-residency session anomalies from UAE ↔ home-country VPN exits.
 • Rapid contact-import bursts on a new SIM that look like fresh spam accounts.

A clean UAE appeal (English)

Hello WhatsApp Support,

My account (+971 XXXXXXXXX) was banned and I would like to request a review. I use WhatsApp mostly for family across countries and for work conversations. I do not use any unofficial WhatsApp client.

I believe my number may have been flagged because [my login sessions appeared in multiple countries when I travelled / I imported many contacts on a new SIM and messaged some of them quickly / I forwarded a long message to many groups in a short window]. I understand that this can look like spam or like a new spam account.

Going forward I will:
- Avoid rapid contact-import + outbound messaging bursts.
- Forward sparingly and only to people I really know.
- Only use the official WhatsApp client.

Please review my account. Thank you.

What not to do

 • Don’t install Arabic forum mods to "unlock calling"; the account ban risk is far higher than the calling inconvenience.
 • Don’t resubmit Request Review repeatedly within 24 hours.
 • Don’t pay third-party "unban" services on TikTok / Snapchat.

Frequently asked questions

Are WhatsApp calls allowed in the UAE?

WhatsApp voice and video calling in the UAE have historically been restricted at the network level for personal use; messaging has always been available. Some users use VoIP workarounds (Etisalat C’Me, du Voice, official approved apps) instead of unauthorized methods. Account-level bans are separate from network-level restrictions.

What ban triggers are specific to the UAE?

Mass-forwarding during Ramadan and National Day, modded WhatsApp from Arabic-language forums, recruiter spam patterns from very large WhatsApp groups, and session anomalies caused by switching between UAE and home-country exit IPs.

Should I appeal in Arabic or English?

Either is accepted. English is widely used in the UAE and clear for reviewers. Arabic is fully supported.

My number was banned right after I bought a new SIM. Why?

A new SIM with the same WhatsApp account is fine. A new number paired with rapid contact-import and outbound messaging looks like a fresh spam account and can trip detection in minutes.

Does it matter that I am on an Etisalat or du SIM?

No. WhatsApp ban appeals do not depend on the carrier. Network-level rules might affect calling, not account bans.
