• Mass forwarding, especially around political events, festivals, and IPL.
• Bulk-send tools for marketing, cricket scores, exam results, etc.
• Modded WhatsApp clients: GB WhatsApp, FM WhatsApp, YO WhatsApp are very widely installed in India.
• Spam reports filed via the WhatsApp India Grievance Officer.
• Numbers shared on public groups that end up reported by group members.

The in-app Request Review (same as global)

1. Open WhatsApp on the banned number.
2. Tap "Request a Review" on the ban screen.
3. Receive the 6-digit code via SMS to your Indian number.
4. Enter the code.
5. Type your appeal in English or Hindi / Hinglish.
6. Submit once.

Hello WhatsApp Support,

My account (+91 XXXXXXXXXX) was banned and I would like to request a review. I use WhatsApp for staying in touch with my family, work group, and a few personal groups. I do not use any unofficial WhatsApp client.

I believe my account may have been flagged because [I forwarded a long-running family group message multiple times during the festival / I forwarded political content to many contacts in a short window]. I understand that this can look like spam to WhatsApp\u2019s systems.

I will:
 - Stop forwarding the same message to many people at once.
 - Avoid bulk-broadcast tools.
 - Only use the official WhatsApp app.

An India-flavoured appeal (Hinglish)

Hello WhatsApp Support,

Mera number (+91 XXXXXXXXXX) ban ho gaya hai, kripya review karein. Main WhatsApp sirf family, office group aur kuch personal contacts ke liye use karta hoon. Maine kabhi koi unofficial WhatsApp (GB / FM / YO) install nahi kiya.

Sambhav hai mera number is wajah se flag hua ho ki maine ek hi message multiple groups me forward kar diya / festival ke time bahut sare contacts ko ek hi message bhej diya. Main samajhta hoon ki yeh WhatsApp ke spam systems ko galat lag sakta hai.

Aage main:
 - Same message ko ek saath bahut logon ko forward nahi karunga.
 - Bulk broadcast tools use nahi karunga.
 - Sirf official WhatsApp app use karunga.

For complaints related to enforcement decisions on Indian numbers, WhatsApp publishes the Grievance Officer\u2019s contact details in its India monthly compliance report. Use that channel only if the in-app Request Review has already failed and you have specific grounds for grievance.

What not to do

• Don\u2019t install another mod hoping for a "newer anti-ban" version.
• Don\u2019t join "WhatsApp unban" Telegram groups; they sell installers.
• Don\u2019t share screenshots of your banned account on Twitter / Reddit hoping support responds; they don\u2019t.
• Don\u2019t resubmit Request Review multiple times in 24 hours.
